Bluey’s Best Racing Bets – Wednesday 15 May

Racing Betting Guide Wednesday, 15 May

SANDOWN – RACE 4 1600m 14:10 AEST

INTUERI ($3.00)

Has been racing in terrific form recently, sporting two wins from his last four runs. He has been particularly good in his past two, coming off the back of a short freshen which seems to have worked wonders. Should get an easy time out in front and with the Sandown rail out 13m, he should be very hard to catch.

WARWICK FARM – RACE 6 1600m 15:45 AEST

PRIMITIVO ($3.50)

Went under as a $1.35F last start at Wagga but willing to forgive after Michael Walker’s post-race comments that the gear change cost him the start and ultimately were not suitable for the gelding. The changes have been reversed here today and he should be primed third up. James McDonald gets the nod which should be another positive. Backing Primitivo to rebound strongly here.

SANDOWN – RACE 7 1300m 15:55 AEST

SOVEREIGN AWARD ($2.70)

Looks to be a really nice type coming through grades. Was beaten fairly by Tofane first up, who has since been placed at Group 2 level, but it’s worth noting that the gap to third that day was a further 6L. She then backed that performance up with a 7L demolition job at Geelong which absolutely looks worth following. Jumps up in grade here but worth following.

BLUEY’S BEST VALUE

SANDOWN – RACE 5 1800m 14:45 AEST

METEOR LIGHT ($16.00)

Meteor Light looks a live chance in this race, which looks extremely open. Was coming off a long layup first up when he found the inferior part of the track, then raced solidly at Warrnambool last start out for a 1.5L defeat against some fair types. Drops back in class here and jumps to 1800m which should be suitable. Draws well in barrier 1 and looks value.
